Services

Rolex and Luxury Watch Repair

Movement service, crystal work, refinishing, pressure testing

Can you service a Rolex?

Yes. We are certified to service Rolex and work on most other Swiss luxury brands including Omega, Tag Heuer, and Breitling. We handle movement service, crystal replacement, gasket replacement for water resistance, case and bracelet refinishing, and battery changes on quartz pieces.

Full movement service

A full service on a mechanical watch means opening the case, removing the movement, disassembling it completely, cleaning each part, replacing worn gaskets and any parts that are damaged, re-lubricating the movement, reassembling, regulating, and pressure testing the sealed case. For a Rolex we follow the factory service interval recommendations (approximately every 10 years for most models) and use appropriate parts and procedures. The watch comes back clean, dry, and running within spec.

Common repairs

Crystal replacement when the sapphire or acrylic is chipped or cracked. Crown and stem replacement when winding feels wrong. Gasket replacement for pieces that have lost their water resistance. Bracelet link sizing, pin replacement, and clasp repair. Full refinishing (polishing and brushing) of cases and bracelets that have picked up decades of scratches. Hand replacement when luminous material has degraded. Dial swaps when customers request a different look on vintage pieces.

Brands we work on

Rolex is our most common brand. We also service Omega, Tag Heuer, Breitling, and many other Swiss and Japanese luxury brands. Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet movements typically go out to specialists we trust; we do not do that movement work in house. If you have a specific model and are not sure whether we service it, call ahead with the reference number.

What we charge and how long it takes

Estimates are free and always in writing. A full service on a Rolex typically runs $600 to $1,200 depending on model, complications, and whether parts are needed. Chronograph and GMT movements are at the higher end because they are more complex. Crystal replacement, battery changes, and clasp repair are quoted separately. Turnaround is usually two to four weeks for a full service, sometimes longer if we need to order specific parts.

Authentication and pre-purchase inspection

If you are buying a pre-owned watch from a private seller or an online source, we can inspect it before you commit. We open the case, verify the movement, check the serial and reference numbers, inspect the dial and hands for originality, and tell you what we see. This typically takes under an hour and the fee is modest. Many customers bring watches to us this way and walk away knowing whether the deal is as represented.

Frequently Asked

How often should a Rolex be serviced? +
Rolex recommends service approximately every 10 years for most models under normal wear. If the watch is losing time, running wet, or feeling different, do not wait.
Do you service quartz watches? +
Battery changes and basic service, yes. For vintage or luxury quartz with unusual movements we sometimes refer out to a specialist.
Can you pressure test after service? +
We pressure test to the rated depth after any service that disturbs the case seals. A stamped test card comes back with the piece.
Do you refinish cases and bracelets? +
We can restore the original polish and brushed finish on most stainless, gold, and two-tone cases. Some vintage and tritium-era pieces are better left with their patina, and we will say so before any refinishing begins.
What about warranty on your work? +
Our bench work carries a warranty on the labor. The specific terms are on the service ticket when you drop the watch off.
