Diamond and Jewelry Buying

Loose diamonds, engagement rings, watches, estate, gold

Does Florida Diamond Center buy diamonds?

Yes. We buy loose diamonds, engagement rings, estate jewelry, watches, and gold scrap directly from the public. Bring the item in for a free evaluation. Our GIA Graduate Gemologist grades diamonds on the spot. We make a cash offer with no obligation.

What we buy

Loose diamonds (GIA certified stones get higher offers because the grading is verified, but we buy uncertified stones too). Engagement rings and wedding bands. Estate and antique jewelry (we vet pieces for authenticity, period, and condition). Luxury watches (Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer, Breitling, and others with strong pre-owned markets). Gold scrap priced against current spot values. Designer-signed pieces (Tiffany, Cartier, David Yurman, Bulgari, Van Cleef, Chopard) often carry premiums.

How the evaluation works

Bring the piece to the counter. We weigh metal and test purity. We grade stones under magnification. We verify designer signatures and hallmarks. We check watches for authenticity, reference numbers, and condition. For significant stones our GIA Graduate Gemologist does the grading in front of you so you can ask questions. The whole process typically takes 15 to 45 minutes depending on how many pieces you have.

How we arrive at an offer

Our offers reflect immediate liquidation value, which is what we could sell the piece for minus our operating margin and inventory risk. For commodity items (plain gold chains, gold scrap, loose GIA-certified diamonds in standard sizes and grades), offers are close to the wholesale floor. For unique or signed pieces with strong resale markets we can offer more because the resale value is higher. For pieces with weaker resale (generic costume, fashion pieces without designer attribution) offers are lower. We explain how we arrived at each number.

What affects the price

Grade and certification for stones. Designer attribution for signed pieces. Condition for watches (original parts, papers, box). Current wholesale market for gold and other commodity metals. Authenticity (fake designer marks are common in estate; we have to verify before any premium applies). You get the offer we would make any other day; we do not play games with pricing.

You are not obligated to sell

Evaluations are free. Offers carry no obligation. Plenty of customers come in to get a number, leave with everything they brought, and either come back later or decide to keep the pieces. Some take our number and compare with other buyers. We welcome comparison and our offers are designed to hold up to it.

Frequently Asked

How do I prepare jewelry to sell? +
Do not clean aggressively. A soft cloth is fine. Gather any paperwork (appraisals, GIA reports, receipts, watch papers). Take photos for your own records. Bring a photo ID.
Do you buy broken jewelry? +
Gold and platinum hold their metal value regardless of condition. Stones that can be removed from damaged settings are often still worth something on their own.
How much do you pay for a diamond? +
It depends on the 4 Cs, certification, and the current wholesale market. Bring the stone and we will evaluate it in front of you and walk you through how we got to the number.
Do you buy gold? +
Any karat: 10k, 14k, 18k, 22k, 24k. We weigh and test every piece and price against today's spot market.
Can you buy from an estate? +
We buy from estates regularly and can evaluate entire collections. For larger estates we can come on site if that is easier.
